1.         Aims and Recruitment of Students Scope

Structural and wind engineering are important research areas in the civil engineering field. The 17th International Advanced School on Wind and Structural Engineering (IAS17), which was initiated and is presided over by Prof. Yukio Tamura, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and former President of the International Association of Wind Engineering (IAWE), Professor of Chongqing University, will be held in Chongqing, China from August 30 to September 01, 2019. The course will covers wind flow characteristics, building and bridge aerodynamics under stationary and non-stationary strong winds, equivalent wind loads and wind-induced responses, wind tunnel techniques, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), urban wind energy, wind-resistant design of solar panels and wind turbines, and so on.

Researchers and students in universities and research and educational institutes, relevant engineers and governors are all very welcome to join the IAS17.
