［摘要］对于承受较大水平荷载的桩基工程应考虑竖向与水平荷载联合作用对桩基性状的影响。根据桩基可能承受的竖向水平荷载联合作用情况，建立与原型具有相似规律的模型试验方案，研究桩基受竖向水平荷载组合作用下的受力与变形特性。试验结果表明，竖向荷载对水平受荷桩的水平位移与桩身弯矩均有一定程度的不利影响，研究成果对实际工程具有参考价值。

Model tests on the behavior of a single pile under verticalhorizontal load

Abstract:Influence of vertical and horizontal loads should be considered when the pile foundations were subjected to large horizontal loads. According to the possible working conditions of the actual piles, a simplified model test was established on the similar rules with the original model. The stress and deformation of the pile under vertical and horizontal loads were investigated by model tests. Some useful conclusions for research and engineering practice were achieved from the model tests. The results show that vertical load has a negative influence on the displacement and moment of the pile under horizontal load.
