[提要]  砖混结构房屋通常采用条形基础，并按墙体承受的荷载分别确定基础宽度。由于在墙体相交处存在基础的重叠面积，基础底面尺寸必须作适当修正。按墙下压应力分布特点确定基础底面尺寸的修正范围，所得结果简单可靠，可直接用于基础设计和施工。

The sizes of strip foundation base must be corrected moderately due to the overlapping area involved in the foundations at intersection of walls. Based on stress distribution from compressive load in walls, the sizes of foundation are corrected. The simple and believable results can be directly applied in foundation design and construction.
