[提要]  通过理论分析，指出褥垫层设计中应考虑的问题及有关规律，并导出褥垫层内摩擦角上限值及垫层厚度的计算公式，可供有关设计人员参考。

Based on the theoretical analysis, some problems and laws in the design of soft-mattres pad on composite foundation are pointed out, and the formulas of calculating internal friction angle of pad and the thickness of pad are put forward.
