[提要]  论述了多层轻型房屋钢结构的设计方法和特点，并结合中新房屋公司办公楼的钢结构设计说明了多层轻型房屋钢结构的潜在优势和应用前景。

Authors discribe the design and analysis methods for multi-story buildings in light-gauge steel. A case
study of office building for Beijing New Constructional Material Corporation( Group)is examined to illus-
