[提要]  对影响建筑物沉降的主要因素和现行规范沉降计算的特点以及对沉降计算中土压缩模量、计算深度、经验系数、最终沉降的认识误区的澄清等作了阐述，并展示了三个沉降计算实例。

Brief descriptions on the specialties of settlements of buildings, on the speciality of settlement calculation in national specification and on the clarification of misunderstanding for settlement calculation were discussed. Three examples on settlement calculation were also presented.
