[提要]  按常规方法确定的砌体结构条形基础宽度所构成的基底面积，由于基础纵横交叉重叠，将比所需面积有所减少。根据此类结构地基反力均匀分布的特点，利用竖向静力平衡原理，提出一种合理调整基底宽度的实用方法。文中包括详细算例可供设计人员参考。

The base area consisted of the width of strip foundation designed with conventional method would be less than actual area needed due to the criss-cross at the midst and the overlap at edges. A rational and practical method which might adjust the base width is presented in accordance with to the assumption of the base reaction uniform distribution and the principle of vertical static balance. There are detailed examples as available for reference to designers.
