[提要]  对屋面女儿墙对主体结构的作用进行了分析比较，结果表明，当屋面女儿墙高度较高时，其对主体结构的作用是不可忽略的。同时对屋面女儿墙的设计提出了建议。

This paper gives analysis and comparison on effect of the roofing parapet wall on main structure. The results show that the effect can not be ignored when the roofing parapet wall is tall. And some design proposals of the parapet wall are presented.
