[提要]  对光纤传感器的基本原理和在土木工程中常用的强度调制型、干涉型、光栅型等传感器进行了介绍。对光纤传感器在土木工程中的应用作了较为详细的综述，探讨了光纤传感器用于土木工程监测（检测）时存在的一些问题，提出了拟解决的思路，指明其广阔的应用前景。

The theory of optical fiber sensors and their applications in civil engineering are clarified. Some problems in present are analyzed and some possible answers to them are also given. Finally, the wonderful prospect is set forth.
