[提要]  综合国内外的相关资料，介绍了方钢管混凝土发展及其应用概况，主要包括一次加载、长期加载及动力加载作用下的力学性能研究与主要成果，以及国内外目前比较典型的关于方钢管混凝土的设计规范。最后，对需要进一步开展的研究工作进行了探讨。

The state of the art of concrete filled square steel tubes is presented generally, and their mechanical behaviors under short-term, long-term and cycle loading are introduced briefly, as well as main worldwide design codes of concrete filled square steel tubular members.  Finally, the works for further research are identified.
