[提要]  从基础设计基本准则出发，给出广义复合桩基的概念及其工程应用实例。广义复合桩基是基于常规概念的复合桩基——疏桩基础的延伸与发展，扩大了复合桩基内涵及其应用范畴，不仅适用于多层，而且可应用于小高层乃至高层。同时提出软地基基础的“双控设计”方法，进一步论述复合桩基有关设计问题，并提出了基础的分类方法及其分类核模拟图。

In accordance with the foundation design rules, this paper brings forward the concept of generalized composite pile foundations, and probes into its applications in construction,which is an extension and development from the notion of conventional composite pile foundations( thinned pile foundations). Therefore, composite pile foundations can find wide application, not only applied to multi-storied buildings but also to high-rise buildings. The paper also argues the "double control" over the design for foundations on a soft ground, further expounds the design related to composite pile foundations and provids a simulated diagram for pile foundation classification.
