[提要]  介绍了混凝土结构中钢筋保护层的作用，以及新公布的《混凝土结构设计规范》( GB50010-2002)中有关保护层内容的修订背景。根据受力钢筋锚固及混凝土结构耐久性的要求，新规范普遍提高了对钢筋保护层厚度的要求，并可根据具体情况作适当调整。

The role of protective coverings of reinforcements in concrete structures and the backgrounds about revision of national standard Code for design of' concrete structures ( GB50010-2002) are introduced. According to the requirements of anchorage of reinforcements and durability, requirements of depth of protective coverings are advanced in new code, and suitable adjustment shall be necessary to specified instance.
