[提要]  弦支穹顶结构体系是在单层网壳和张拉整体的基础上发展起来的一种新型空间结构。概述了弦支穹顶结构产生的背景和结构原理，归纳了弦支穹顶结构体系的研究现状，分析了预应力和矢跨比的影响。同时介绍了弦支穹顶在国内外工程实践中的应用，并提出了需要深入研究的一些关键课题。

The suspendome system is a new-style space structures developed on the bases of single-layer dome structures and　tensegrity systems.The background and the structural principles of suspendome system are introduced,and current research situation is described.The influences of prestress and rise-span ratio are analyzed. Some typical engineering applications are introduced. The key problems are proposed for further research.
