Abstract: There is no specification about minimal ratio of longitudinal tensile reinforcement of coupling beam in shear wall structure in the newly revised structural design codes．According to the shear force limitation requirement of the section of the beam，the problem is discussed．Some suggestions that could be used in engineering design are presented．
