Influence analysis of the design codes revision on steel amounts of high-rise building of reinforced concrete structuresLi Jingbin, Zhou Yucheng(School of Civil Engineering, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou 450001, China)Abstract:To analyze the impact of the revised 2010 edition series of structural design codes on steel amounts of high-rise reinforced concrete structures, three kinds of typical high-rise buildings were selected as the research objects. Using PKPM software, calculation analyses and section designs were carried out on frame structure, frame-shear wall structure and shear wall structure according to the provisions and requirements of 2002 edition and 2010 edition series of structural design codes. The steel amounts of the main components of each structure were counted based on the design results and the difference in the steel amounts of the same structure calculated according to different editions of design codes was compared. The results show that according to the new codes, the reduction of total steel amounts of frame structure and frame-shear wall structure are about 12% to 13%, and the reduction in floor steel amounts of the unit are about 18% to 25%, the efficiency improves significantly. The total steel amounts of shear wall structure are basically unchanged, in which the steel amounts of walls and beams increase about 5% to 6%, and the steel amounts of floor decrease about 21%. The design provisions in new codes are more safe and reasonable.Keywords:high-rise building; reinforced concrete structure; code; steel amount
