烧结空心砖砌体力学性能的试验研究*

[摘要]基于抗压强度试验和对角加载剪切试验,研究烧结空心砖砌体的抗压和抗剪性能,测试其抗压和抗剪强度指标,观察其受力变形破坏过程,并与实心砖砌体进行对比,深入分析烧结空心砖砌体的破坏机理。研究表明,烧结空心砖砌体受压破坏形态明显不同于实心砖砌体,烧结空心砖的局部块体破坏导致砌体整体失效,其抗压强度与块体的强度密切相关,且离散性大;烧结空心砖砌体受压前期被压实,峰值应变大于实心砖砌体的,峰值点后呈显著脆性;烧结空心砖砌体的抗剪强度主要与砂浆和块体的界面特性有关,剪切破坏发生于灰缝,现行规范给出的砌体抗剪强度经验公式适用于烧结空心砖砌体。建议对烧结空心砖砌体进行采用对角加载剪切试验时,对加载两端角部进行加强,以避免烧结空心砖压坏先于砌体剪切破坏。

Experimental study on mechanical properties of fired hollow brick masonry

Abstract: Axial compression test and diagonal shear test on fired hollow brick masonry were carried out to investigate the compressive property and shear property of the masonry. Both compressive strength and shear strength were tested and the failure process was observed, which were compared with solid brick masonry to further analyze the failure mechanism of fired hollow brick masonry. The results show that the failure mode of fired hollow brick masonry under axial compression was significantly different from that of solid brick masonry. The damage of  some bricks in the masorry potentially leads to failure of the whole masonry. The compressive strength of masonry with large discreteness is closely related to the strength of the hollow brick. Fired hollow brick masonry performs being compacted under low pressure with larger peak strain than that of solid brick masonry, and significant brittleness is observed after the peak point. The property of the mortar-brick interface greatly affects the shear strength of the fired hollow brick masonry. Shear failure occurs in mortar joint. The empirical formula of masonry shear strength specified by the current code is applicable to fired hollow brick masonry. In diagonal shear test, some strengthening measurements to the loading corners of the specimen were suggested to avoid crushing in the corners before shear failure occurs.
