［提要］  对结构的设计使用年限与《建筑法》提出的建筑物合理使用寿命之间的关系进行了探讨，指出混凝土结构设计所提供的结构耐久性或设计使用年限应具备足够的保证率或安全裕度，并认为现行混凝土结构设计规范所设置的耐久性水准不能满足《建筑法》规定的“必须确保”主体结构在合理使用寿命内的质量要求。同时分析了我国混凝土结构工程短寿的多种原因，不仅要尽快提高技术规范的耐久与安全设置水准，而且要完善建筑物的管理制度。

Code Provisions for Structural Design Shall Ensure the Adequate Service Life of Buildings/Authors:Chen Zhaoyuan (Dept. of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University，Beijing 100084,China)

Abstract:The relationship between the design life of building structures and the “adequate service life” of buildings as stipulated in  Chinese Building Act is analyzed. It is noted that the requirements for durability level or design life in current Chinese design codes for structural concrete cannot be able to ensure the adequate life of buildings. Other factors result in short life are also discussed.
